Life is a series of transitions. Some are easier to navigate than others. Often our experiences and patterns limit our response to challenges and keep us stuck in unsatisfying relationships and situations. Together, in a safe and supportive environment, we can examine what has been working well for you and how your life might change by responding differently to challenges and relationships. We can work together to make the next stage of your life more fulfilling, empowering, and satisfying.
My work is based on the following frameworks:
- Brief, Solution Focused Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping)
- Uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy
One approach that I have found effective when working with clients of all life stages is called “tapping,” or emotional freedom techniques. This is a quick and easy to utilize practice that can bring about healing from:
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Chronic pain
- Resistance to change
- Dealing with toxic relationships
Life is busy with families, work, health limitations, and travel commitments. Time is at a premium. My certification as a distance counselor makes it possible for us to continue our work together via the internet or phone at times when we are unable to meet in the office.
